Manuel Reyes Diablito
Made in Mexico by master artist and potter, Manuel Reyes, these masks are collector's items. Made from the clay of Oaxaca and painted with pigment taken from the local rocks, these masks proudly reflect the history of the indigenous people of North America. One hanging on a wall will inspire conversation. A group of three or five will make a powerful statement.
This mask of the devil was inspired by the Pastorela Drama performed by the Mestizo people of Guanajuato, Mexico. Notice the artist's use of serpents around the eyes and jaw.
