Indika Desert Bell Large
Each bell is made by hand by the members of the Luhar family in the desert of northern India. Recycled steel is beaten into shape by hand, then dipped into copper. women make a dough to cover the bells and bury them in a kiln in the hot desert sun. The heat melds the metals into bronze and a unique patina is formed in the process. What makes these bells so very special is that each bell is tuned by the Luhar family after firing.
