Timidwa Tuareg Cross Necklace
Availability: | In stock (2) |
Made from sterling silver, this necklace was handcrafted by Timidwa, an organization composed of members of a Tuareg tribe who live outside of Timbuktu, in Mali. This is a traditional design, worn by both men and women of the tribe, who believe it to be a talisman which protects them from “the evil eye” or a jinn. Some say that it resembles the Southern Cross, an important navigational tool for these nomadic people of the Sahara.
